C2E2 2021 moves to December
Next year’s C2E2 is getting a major change.
Announced today, the 2021 installment will be pushed to December 10 - December 12 at the McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois. This will be the first time the popular convention found itself away from its typical spring offering. While C2E2 is moving from the spring, ReedPop will offer another round of Metaverse in its place. The online convention made its debut over the summer. You can read the entire statement below.
“Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo is one of the very best communities and we remain incredibly grateful that we were able to celebrate all the best geek culture has to offer together with you last February. As a team, we can’t tell you how much we've cherished those memories and hope that you have as well.
As we look forward to next year and building you the best event possible, we've made the decision to move the show to December 10-12, 2021. Safety, and the well-being of our creators, exhibitors, guests, and the many people that come together to create this event, is always first for us.
Information about badge sales, guests, and all things C2E2 will be shared in months to come, but in the meantime, please stay safe, stay healthy, and take care of yourselves and each other.
And even though we won’t see you until December, you don’t have to wait to geek out with your fellow pop culture fans! This spring, journey with us into the Metaverse for access to exclusive content, nerdy merch and one-of-a-kind celebrity experiences. You can check out some of the awesome content from our NYCC x MCM Metaverse event below, and sign up for the newsletter to get all the latest updates.
We look forward to bringing you another excellent C2E2 in December and appreciate your patience and understanding.”
