Bus Simulator 21 to gain Next Stop update in May
Bus Simulator 21 will get a major update this May.
Announced today, the free Next Stop update will see a slew of major improvements on the simulator game. An announcement trailer can be seen below.
One major addition is the career mode, which will test the player’s ability to build a successful bus company. A description of career mode reads:
With the big Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop update for the main game, bus aficionados can look forward to numerous game, AI and other detail improvements. In addition, a completely new game mode awaits the players: The new career mode combines the well-known sandbox mode with the economic system of the campaign. Instead of having to unlock everything bit by bit by completing missions, players can choose from all bus stops and bus models right from the start of the game, so that there are no limits to how far they can build up their own bus company - as long as they manage their start-up capital well, set up and operate routes successfully, expand their bus fleet skillfully and thus work their way up to become a successful local public transport company!
Other features coming through the Next Stop update include free PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades, crossplay between all PC versions (Steam, Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store), and a map extension.
Bus Simulator 21 will also be repackaged for both new and current players with Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop - Gold Edition, which features the base game and previously released DLC, and Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop - Gold Upgrade, which includes previously released DLC for those who already own the base game.
The Next Stop update, Gold Edition, and Gold Upgrade will be released on May 23. Bus Simulator 21 is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC right now. More information about the game can be found here.
