Bugsnax will be free at launch for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PlayStation 5
Are you a PlayStation Plus subscriber? Are you getting a PlayStation 5 soon? Well, you can grab the highly-anticipated Bugsnax game for free!
Revealed yesterday, Bugsnax is the first announced PlayStation 5 game to be available for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. People upgrading to the new console are in luck. If you own a copy on PlayStation 4, you’ll gain a copy on PlayStation 5 for free and vice versa. If you get the game through your PlayStation Plus subscription, you can’t get the game on the PlayStation 4. The game will remain free for PlayStation Plus subscribers until January 4, 2021. When it comes to important information about trophies and game saves, Young Horses gameplay designer John Murphy said:
“We also wanted to provide some insight for the Trophy hunters out there: Bugsnax will have standalone Trophy lists for both PS5 and PS4, which means… you get double the fun, and double the Trophies! We’re also looking into supporting save transfers from your PS4 to your PS5, which would be added in a future update.”
Physical pre-orders for Bugsnax can be made here. Aside from the game, you can also grab a special shirt, pins, and a plush. Digital pre-orders are live on the Epic Games Store right now with a special 15% discount. In Bugsnax, you head to Snaktooth Island to capture tasty creatures and solve mysteries about the region. The game features 100 different species of Bugsnax for you to discover.
Bugsnax will be released on November 12. You can view a new launch trailer and listen to the theme song (and song of the year candidate) for the game below.
