Brain Dead Studios to host Jet Set Radio 25th anniversary celebration

Sega will celebrate Jet Set Radio’s 25th anniversary with a special celebration at Los Angeles’ Brain Dead Studios.

Announced yesterday, Sega will take over the movie theater from June 13 through June 20 for some Jet Set Radio activities. On June 13, attendees will be able to meet Jet Set Radio game director Masayoshi Kikuchi and artist Ryuta Ueda and vibe to DJs sets courtesy of NTS music. The entire run will feature a slew of movie screenings, including The Blues Brothers, The Warriors, and Vanishing Point. Special edition merch will also be available to purchase as well as exclusive merch for the first 100 people in line on June 13 and June 14. Released in 2000, Jet Set Radio is considered one of the best video games of all time. A sequel titled Jet Set Radio Future was unveiled in 2002. A new game in the Jet Set Radio franchise was announced at The Game Awards in 2023.
