BOOKOFF to open new anime-based Los Angeles location this Thursday

BOOKOFF will unveil a brand-new store this week.

On Thursday (January 12), a new store will open in Little Tokyo. Named AnimeLab Little Tokyo, the store, which is located at 340 E 2nd St. Suite 336, will specialize in anime and manga. The store will be open from noon to 8 p.m. Job applications for the new spot can be submitted here. This follows their previously opened AnimeLab Brooklyn location in New York City.

This will be the ninth BOOKOFF open in the state of California. Next month, Bookoff will move from their Westminster space to a new spot in Garden Grove. The Westminster location will shut down on January 15.

For over 30 years, BOOKOFF has brought a slew of used books, manga, DVDs, CDs, and video games to stores across Japan, the United States, France, and Korea.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
