Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement announced

A new title in the Bloodstained franchise has been announced.

Revealed yesterday, Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement is currently in development. The game is slated to arrive in 2026 on the PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. An announcement trailer can be seen here.

A synopsis for the game reads:

Set in England during the 16th Century and before the events of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, a mysterious floating castle under the control of “Demon Lord Elias” has begun terrorizing the people with its demonic forces. Join two new protagonists Leonard Brandon, a young fighter with the Church's Black Wolves clan and Alexander Kyteler, a knight of the Kingdom's White Stags, as they rise together to defeat Demon Lord Elias’s reign of terror and shatter the chains of a kingdom tormented by evil forces.
