Blackpink to release album in October

K-pop group Blackpink have finally unveiled the release date for their highly anticipated album.

Revealed yesterday, The Album is slated for an October 2 release via YG Entertainment. The release will include their latest single “How You Like That,” which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100. The music video for the song has earned a handful of Guinness World Records, including most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours. Next month, the group will unveil their second single from the release, which will include an unannounced special guest.

Pre-orders for Blackpink’s forthcoming release, which will be their debut Korean studio album, are available here. The deluxe package, which will go on sale soon, will include a copy of the album, a photobook, a postcard set, a random photocard, a random postcard, a lyric book, and a poster.
