Blackpink reschedule December livestream to January 2021
K-pop outfit Blackpink will hold their special livestream next year.
Announced yesterday, the group had to move their forthcoming livestream, which was originally set for December 27, due to COVID restrictions in South Korea. In a statement, the group said:
“We can’t wait to meet our BLINKS as soon as possible, but in order to comply with the South Korean COVID-19 prevention guidelines and to ensure a safe performance, we have unfortunately made the decision to postpone THE SHOW from December 27 to January 31 of next year. Through our concert, we wanted to give you some sort of comfort during these difficult times, but the health and safety of everyone taking part in THE SHOW is our top priority, so, in order to make sure that we prepare for the concert in a safe environment, we have decided to postpone THE SHOW.”
Tickets for the original December 27 show are being refunded. Fans can purchase new tickets for the January 31, 2021 performance on Blackpink’s YouTube channel.
In October, Blackpink released The Album, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Top 200 charts.
