Better Lovers (Every Time I Die, Dillinger Escape Plan) reveal debut single “30 Under 13” and tour dates
Former members of Every Time I Die and The Dillinger Escape Plan have joined forces for a brand new act in the metalcore scene.
Revealed yesterday, Better Lovers features former The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato, former Every Time I Die guitarist Jordan Buckley, former Every Time I Die drummer Clayton “Goose” Holyoak, former Every Time I Die bassist Stephen Micciche, and Grammy winning-producer/musician Will Putney (Fit for an Autopsy). The five-piece band have unveiled their debut single “30 Under 13,” which arrives with a music video directed by Eric Richter. The accompanying music video can be seen below.
Buckley said this about the new band:
“Looking back, I’m so happy everything got me to where I am. The pandemic and the last few years made me hungrier and more grateful. This isn’t a hobby. This isn’t temporary. This is the next evolution for each of us. Greg and Will rejuvenated me and made me even more confident. Now, everybody needs to know we’re a wild animal that just broke out of the zoo—there’s no trying to put it back in the cage.”
Puciato said:
“Jordan sent me some already finished instrumental tracks, and they hit me at just the right time. Those tracks woke up a side of me that I thought was fully extinct but was merely evolving and changing. To my complete surprise there was still something left in that area to dig at, and the vessel for it made sense.”
Putney also said:
“It’s a group of loaded weapons all firing at full power ready for the next chapter of our music careers, and I can confidently say our collective best work is ahead of us.”
Better Lovers will embark on a North American trek alongside Underoath, The Ghost Inside, and We Came As Romans this summer. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday (April 21) at 10 a.m. local time.
“30 Under 13” is available on digital services via SharpTone Records right now.
