Benee announces 'Lychee' EP, releases new song "Beach Boy"
New Zealand indie-pop artist Benee has announced their new EP today.
Titled Lychee, the seven-track release will arrive on March 4 via Republic Records. The first single from the EP titled “Beach Boy” can be heard below. Benee said this about the song, which was produced by Greg Kurstin (Adele, Beck):
“‘Beach Boy’ is pure fantasy, set in LA. It’s about being happy alone, but still wanting some love; wanting the thrill without the pain. It was the first time I’d worked with Greg Kurstin, and it was so sick...we got on super well, and I love this track...I think it is perfect for cruising down the freeway with the top down :)”
Pre-saves for Lychee are available here. “Beach Boy” is available on digital services right now.
Benee will kick off their North American tour in support of Lychee with special guest Dreamer Boy on May 31. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets for the trek are on sale to the general public right now.
