Folk musician Ben Caplan has announced their new studio album recollection.

The 10-track release finds the artist celebrating 10 years of music with newer versions of songs in their catalog. A new version of “Drift Apart” can be heard below. The song originally appeared in Caplan’s 2011 debut album In The Time of the Great Remembering.

Caplan said this about the forthcoming release:

“New songs are sacred to me. They are precious and rare---I didn’t want to push them into the world with all the challenges and isolations to work around… so I took on a project of taking my old songs apart and putting them back together again. I wanted to find a bit of new life in them.

I had a great time re-collecting these old songs on a new album. I hope you enjoy listening to these recordings as much as I liked making them.”

“Drift Apart” is available on digital services right now. Pre-orders for recollection, which arrives on October 15, can be made here.
