Toronto electro-industrial act Ayria announces new album 'This is My Battle Cry'
Toronto electro-industrial artist Jennifer Parkin b.k.a. Ayria will unveil their new album this summer.
Revealed on Friday, This Is My Battle Cry will be released on August 5 via Artoffact Records. This will be the follow-up to Ayria’s 2016 studio album Paper Dolls. This will also be Ayria’s first release on the Canadian record label; from 2003 to 2016, Ayria released five studio albums and a slew of compilations and EPs on Belgian record label Alfa Matrix.
The latest single from the album titled “No One Asked You Can” be heard below. Parkin said this about the single:
"No One Asked You” is one of the more stompy and angry tracks on this release. It’s a call back to the fun style of my earlier music like “Bad List” or “My Revenge On the World." Listen to this track and I dare you to try to come at me now. Explicit lyric warning showcasing my potty mouth.”
Pre-orders for the 10-track release can be made here. Since 2003, Ayria has been touring the world with acts such as Project Pitchfork, VNV Nation, and The Crüxshadows.
