Awesome Games Done Quick 2022 Online raises over $3 million

This past week, Awesome Games Done Quick smashed its previous donation record in a big way.

The online video game marathon raised $3.4 million for Prevent Cancer Foundation. This beat’s the previous record made at Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 with $3.1 million raised at the end. Since 2010, AGDQ has raised over $37 million for various charities, including Doctors Without Borders, Organization for Autism Research, and AbleGamers.

This year’s AGDQ also delivered some record-breaking speedruns, including Kena: Bridge of Spirits by InsertLogic (28:35), Pumpkin Jack by Jaxler (44:18), and Webbed by Shadowthepast (17:21). If you missed out on AGDQ or want to relive some exciting moments, the entire event is archived on their official YouTube channel.

The next AGDQ event will be the all-female speedrunning showcase Frost Fatales, which runs from February 27 to March 5. Information on Summer Games Done Quick 2022 will be announced soon.
