For its third year, Anime Expo Chibi, which is a smaller-scaled version of the popular Los Angeles convention Anime Expo, took over the Ontario Convention Center for a weekend filled with all things anime.

As they entered the convention, attendees were greeted to the sights and sounds of Chibi Plaza Stage, which brought a handful of live performances from acts such as Dreamland Maid Café, Jay Andrade Band, and Isekai Stage. Next to the Chibi Plaza Stage, attendees were able to browse through artist alley and meet voice talent such as Cristina Vee, Leeanna Albanese, and Keith Silverstein at their respective autograph booths. On the other side of the convention was Mahoko’s Hideaway, which also delivered some performances from acts such as S4X and Moe Age.

Inside the convention center, attendees were checking out the show floor to pick up some new attire, figures, and cosplay accessories. Those looking to play a quick game against their friends did so at the Freeplay Arcade section, which featured a slew of classic titles such as Marvel vs Capcom 2, NBA Jam, and Street Fighter 2.

Our photos from the 2024 installment of Anime Expo Chibi can be seen below. The convention is slated to return in 2025. More information will be revealed soon. Anime Expo is slated to return from July 3 through July 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Our coverage of this summer’s Anime Expo can be found here.
