Alison Moyet releases reworked version of “Where Hides Sleep”
Alison Moyet has delivered their reworked version of “Where Hides Sleep” today.
Originally found in Moyet’s debut album Alf, the reworked version appears on the artist’s forthcoming reworks album Key, which features 16 reworked songs from Moyet’s career and an additional two new tracks. The artist said this about their newer version of “Where Hides Sleep,” which is out on digital services right now:
“‘Where Hides Sleep,’ originating on the Alf album, has its heritage in Yazoo and my writing of ‘Winter Kills’, though I find in its original presentation the intention is buried somewhat by the stridency of the production. This ‘KEY’ version centres the narrative and invites a greater intimacy far more fitting, I think, for the restless hours of the darkest quiet.”
Pre-orders for Key, which is out on October 4 via Cooking Vinyl, can be made here. Moyet will support the forthcoming release with a world tour in 2025. The trek features a slew of sold-out shows in the U.K., Ireland, and Europe. Tour dates for the North American leg of this trek will be released soon. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now here.
