Alexander 23 releases new single “Hate Me If It Helps”
Singer-songwriter/producer Alexander 23 unveiled their new single “Hate Me If It Helps” today.
The single was co-written with Olivia Rodrigo with Dan Nigro (Olivia Rodrigo, Carly Rae Jepsen, Conan Gray) helping out as a co-producer. An accompanying music video directed by Charles Mehling (The Rolling Stones, Rihanna) can be seen below. The artist said this about the song, which is based on a breakup:
“I’d gotten to a point where I realized that I loved this person enough that I didn’t care what it took for them to feel better after the breakup — so if blaming me gets them to where they need to be, I’m totally okay with that.”
Alexander 23 will kick off their tour alongside John Mayer next week. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
