Nicole Schneit aka Air Waves has signed to Fire Records.

Today’s announcement comes with a new song from the Brooklyn indie/folk artist titled “The Dance,” which is the artist’s first new track since their 2018 studio album Warrior. The track, which can be heard below, is inspired by defunct NYC nightclub The Dance. Schneit said this about the new song:

“The song the Dance is about a venue in New York that was only open for eight months. I went a couple weeks before it closed down, not knowing it was going to close. There was something dreamlike about that night, I was dressed up after a performance I had done and the music they were playing was this crazy fast dance music. The flashing lights I'm referring to are the phones people were looking at.”

“The Dance” is available on digital services right now. More music from the artist will be released soon.
