AEW announces three upcoming video games
Popular wrestling promotion AEW are finally stepping into the video game ring.
Revealed yesterday, AEW Games will be the home of three forthcoming video games. The biggest game on the horizon is an unnamed console game created by Yuke’s. This game will be unveiled sometime in 2021. Alongside this announcement, it was revealed that No Mercy game producer Hideyuki “Geta” Iwashita joined the AEW Games team.
Console gamers aren’t the only ones getting some new games. AEW announced two exciting mobile games, which will arrive in the near future. AEW Casino: Double or Nothing, which is developed by KamaGames, is an AEW-branded casino game. This will hit mobile phones this winter. In 2021, AEW Elite GM will arrive. Developed by Crystallized Games, this game allows players to run AEW their own way as GM.
When it comes to this new chapter, AEW CEO/GM Tony Khan said:
“It’s amazing to think that less than two years ago, we sent shockwaves through the professional wrestling industry with the launch of AEW, and now we are rolling out our new revolutionary games. We make a point to listen to our fans, and we know that a rejuvenated and immersive gaming experience is critical to the overall wrestling experience. It’s going to be cool to see our fans enjoying a next-gen console wrestling game that actually implements their feedback. This is just the beginning of a new era of gaming for wrestling fans around the world.”
