Singer-songwriter Abby Huston has joined the Egghunt Records roster.
To coincide with today’s announcement, the indie/R&B artist has unveiled a new single “Apartment,” which can be heard below. Huston said this about the new cut:
“'Apartment’ is about depression and anxiety, self-doubt and acceptance through accountability. It’s about the stubborn resistances of our spirit and inner wisdom, and how that can settle into hopelessness, self-isolation, and negativity. It’s a reminder that we can accept the purpose and ability to transform into the people we want to be.
The lyrics show the arrival of this enlightenment, because for me, amidst everything else in the world, realization can come in like waves, like leases, like semesters, like days and verses—it took time. In the case of “Apartment,” acceptance didn’t come until the final chorus.”
“Apartment” is available on digital services right now.
