The Mandalorian's season two trailer has been released

The trailer for The Mandalorian’s upcoming second season is out for your viewing please.

Released today, the trailer shows the titular character’s journey through the galaxy to bring Baby Yoda back to Jedis. Unfortunately, there’s several obstacles in the way, including an underground fight club. You can view the trailer below.

The second season of The Mandalorian will arrive on Disney+ on October 30, 2020. The first season earned the streaming service 15 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series. The 72nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards are taking place right now through September 17. 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards will air on September 20.

The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu DLC announced

The Sims 4 will unveil some Star Wars love with their Journey to Batuu DLC.

Announced at Gamescom, this DLC will allow the player to explore the world of Batuu. While at the planet, the player’s Sim will be able to join the Resistance, the First Order, or Hondo Ohnaka and the scoundrels. Following their mission, the Sim can bring several items back to their home, including their own lightsaber.

In a statement, Lucasfilm Games vice president Douglas Reilly said:

“We loved the idea of giving players the opportunity to tell their own Star Wars story, and The Sims’ open-ended form of storytelling and self-expression is the perfect platform to do so. Our fans are always looking for new ways to immerse themselves into the Star Wars galaxy, and we hope The Sims will provide that in an unexpectedly new and exciting way, where they’ll influence the world of Batuu and find their destiny in the galaxy as they see fit.”

Star Wars Celebration 2020 officially cancelled

The 2020 installment of Star Wars Celebration is officially cancelled.

The organizers behind the event made the announcement today:

“At Star Wars Celebration, the health and safety of our fans, attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff is always our number one priority. Due to the global impact of the COVID-19 virus and in speaking with local and state authorities on the latest public health guidelines related to indoor conventions, we have made the decision to cancel Star Wars Celebration for 2020.”

Fans who had tickets to this year’s event can get a refund or transfer tickets to the next Star Wars Celebration, which takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California from August 18 to 21, 2022. More information can be found here.

2022 will see the Disney+ release of the live-action Obi-Wan Kenobi series, which finds Ewan McGregor reprising their beloved role.

Star Wars: Squadrons announced

After some teasing online, EA have announced their next Star Wars video game.

Star Wars: Squadrons revolves around pilots from the New Republic and Galactic Empire engulfed in a heated battle. The single-player mode will have the player seeing both sides of the story as they play pilots from both forces. The multiplayer part of the game will feature battles with up to 10 players with cross-platform play available.

The game’s trailer, which was released today, can be seen below.

EA will show gameplay from Star Wars: Squadrons at their EA Play event, which takes place on Thursday (June 18). Pre-orders for the game are available here. Gameplay footage of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order revealed at EA Play 2019

Since Star Wars Celebration, everyone has been clamoring for more information about the forthcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Instead of keeping fans waiting until the end, EA Play kicked things off with some brand new gameplay footage today.

The 14 minute clip, which takes place a few hours into the game, focused on Cal’s mission to free the wookies. As expected, several obstacles get in his way. You can check out the gameplay footage below.

Canonical to the Star Wars universe, Fallen Order will be released on November 15, 2019 via PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Pre-orders for this game are live on their website. All pre-orders will include special cosmetics for the game. If you’re looking to drop a few more dollars, the deluxe edition includes behind the scenes footage and additional cosmetics. More information is slated to be unveiled at Microsoft’s press conference at E3 this weekend.
