X Japan's Yoshiki announced as Guest of Honor at Anime Expo 2023
This year’s Anime Expo will have one of the biggest Japanese music artists in the world.
Yoshiki, who is best known as the co-founder of iconic J-rock band X Japan, has been announced as a Guest of Honor at the anime convention today. The musician, who has worked with individuals such as Stan Lee and Bono, will take part of a special event where they discuss their work on anime themes and their forthcoming orchestral world tour, which makes its way to Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre on October 20 (tickets on sale here). More information about their event at Anime Expo will be announced soon.
Earlier this year, Yoshiki debuted their new supergroup The Last Rockstars (feat. L’arc-en-Ciel’s Hyde, X Japan’s Sugizo, and Dué le Quartz’s Miyavi) with a slew of shows in Japan and the United States. Yoshiki’s Anime Expo appearance arrives before the release of their new classical single “Requiem” and X Japan’s first single in 8 years titled “Angel” in July.
