Portland post-hardcore band Unarmed, which features current and former members of It Prevails, Scars of Tomorrow, and American Me, unveiled their debut single “The Perfect Summer” yesterday. An official lyric video created by John Alan (Negative Space Visuals) can be seen below.

The band features It Prevails vocalist/bassist Ian Fike, guitarist Therron Francis (It Prevails, Scars of Tomorrow), guitarist Brian Wilson (American Me) and drummer Aaron Marsh (Ex-It Prevails, American Me).

Unarmed are currently working on their debut EP It’s Like That, which is produced by Ryan Furlott (It Prevails, MxPx) and mastered by Mike Kalajian (The Devil Wears Prada, Hopesfall). The EP is slated for a January 13 release.

This Friday (December 2), Unarmed will perform at Mano Oculta with Love Equals Death and Moon Zero Two. Tickets for the 21+ show are on sale to the general public here.
