U.K sibling indie folk act Cattle and Cane release new single “Icarus”
U.K. sibling indie folk act Cattle & Cane have delivered their new single “Icarus” today.
Vocalist Joe Hammill said this about the song, which was written during a Zoom meeting with Nashville songwriter Rebakh Powell:
"Icarus is about those moments we get carried away. Those early stages of something exciting where our instincts are to go too quickly. The excitement that overcomes our sensible heads warning to relax a bit and not run away with ourselves. But also that it's better to be that way than a cynic. It's better to be hopeful and naive than a cynic. It's that idea of all in. Without compromise, no matter the cost. I'll deal with it later kinda attitude."
“Icarus” comes from Cattle and Cane’s forthcoming album Golden, which will be released on November 17. Pre-orders for the record can be made here. “Icarus” is out on digital services right now.
Cattle and Cane will be touring across the U.K. early next year. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
