Tower defense roguelite Hope’s End will launch on Steam Early Access in March.

Announced today, the game, which is from Explorer’s Guild Games, will arrive on March 16. An announcement trailer can be seen below.

A synopsis for the title reads:

The end of life as we know it has arrived, and with it came the Blighted. Monstrosities mutated from species once known to the planet now threaten humanity’s very existence. Hope’s End stands as the final human settlement, and survival rests on the shoulders of the Supreme Psion. As the last line of defense, it is up to you, the Supreme Psion, to harness powerful psionic abilities, craft barriers and defensive weapons around the settlement, and destroy the hordes before they reach the final threshold.

Hope’s End features an arcade tower defense experience that is easy to pick up, but hard to master. Choose from six Specializations, all with their own unique abilities to help fend off the Blighted. Incinerate mutants with the Fire Specialization, or create explosive gravity wells with the Cosmic specialization. How Supreme Psions choose to annihilate the hordes is completely up to them. Stop the Blighted in their tracks by crafting mines, turrets, and barriers on the path to Hope’s End, and upgrade abilities throughout each run for massive damage. When the Blighted seem to not pose much of a threat, engage No Hope Mutators to up the difficulty and aim for massive scores on the leaderboards. Put an end to the Blighted, and become the preeminent Supreme Psion.
