Thursday announce intimate shows with Many Eyes and Tim Kasher

Beloved post-hardcore band Thursday will hit up some smaller rooms for mini-trek across the Northeast.

Revealed yesterday, the band will embark on a four-date trek starting on April 11 at Empire Underground in Albany. For this trek, Thursday will be joined by Many Eyes (ex-Every Time I Die) and Tim Kasher. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets will go on sale to the general public tomorrow (March 1) at 10 a.m. EST here.

Thursday said this about the trek:

“They say you cannot play intimate rooms after you play big ones. They say you cannot put three headline acts onto small stages together. They say you should only play big cities. They say that local venues aren’t as important as Park Ave venues. THEY ARE WRONG. Grassroots venues are where we cut our teeth, so we are very happy that come April we get to play some independently owned / regional venues in towns that mean personal things to us as people. In our illogical minds it makes perfect sense to play in Sao Paolo, BR and Millersville, PA in the same week as each other! We love that shiz!

Over the last few years, we have gotten to play Festivals, Arena’s, Stadia, Theatre’s, Clubs and Boats - so we thought - ‘isn’t it time to play some even more curveball shows?’ - ‘who is down?’ Many Eyes and Tim Kasher immediately raised their hands to join in on the fun. We are all buzzing at the thought of playing a 250 capacity room in Jersey!

We invite you to submit your application to join us from 10am onwards on Friday March 1st when tickets go on sale. Check local listings and Thursday.net for more info. Please support independent venues - without them, the current crop of new bands will have nowhere to hone their craft. These four shows will be an experience no-one in the room will ever forget. We promise you that and we solemnly swear that there ain’t no party like a Thursday party, cause a Thursday party don’t stop.”

Thursday recently toured across the country performing their 2003 studio album War All The Time in full.
