The five standout games at the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition

After their successful spring and summer installments, The Steam Game Festival returned for its fall edition last week. Hundreds of game demos were available for everyone to play during this week-long event. We look at five great games in this massive offering that you should be excited for when they arrive.

Orx

Orx combines tower defense and deck building for a unique experience. With 300 cards in the game, you'll have to use them to build the best defense from an unrelenting stream of enemies coming to destroy your kingdom. If you want to try Orx, you can download the demo on their Steam page. There's no release date for the game but you can follow them on Twitter for any updates.

Dealer's Life 2

Dealer's Life 2 features everything fans loved about the original game. As the owner of a pawn shop, it's up to you to keep things running smoothly by selling and buying various items. The game is simple enough for anyone to pick up and play without any knowledge of pawning. Dealer's Life 2 is slated to be released in early access before 2020 is over.

The Tenants

Have you ever wanted to play a game through the eyes of a landlord? With The Tenants, you'll get the chance as you fix up homes for both current and potential tenants. Your tenants have their unique flair, so you'll need to fix up their place to suit them or else they'll get upset. Aside from fixing up spots, you'll have to deal with potential issues with tenants, including complaints from the neighbors. The demo is available on their Steam page if you want to dive in. The Tenants is slated for release early next year.

Date Night Bowling

Date Night Bowling is a wholesome game combining two stressful things: dates and bowling. In the game, you pair up with a potential suitor in a casual game of bowling. Between frames, you'll have to complete various mini-games such as filling up drinks and shoulder rubbing to increase the connection meter. There's a solo mode if you're just interested in bowling, and you can face your friends in a local two-player game. Date Night Bowling is slated for a spring 2021 release.

Bot Rods

Bot Rods is a colorful racing game where lovable characters test out their bots in friendly races. With a slew of power-ups available, you'll be able to make things difficult for your opponents on their journey to be number one.
