Music videos have always been a great way for artists to represent certain songs. Artists can keep it simple or go all out with all sorts of visual eye candy. When it comes to music videos released in 2020, these five stood out above the rest.

Atlanta cabaret rockers Sarah and the Safe Word find themselves on the run in their visual for "The Last Great Sweetheart of the Grand Electric Rodeo." Directed by Ed Tumulty, the band accidentally gets lost while traveling to their next gig. Unfortunately, one creepy individual wants the group all for themselves.

4. In Hearts Wake - "Worldwide Suicide"

With their music video for "Worldwide Suicide," In Hearts Wake tackle the issue of climate change around the world. For the Australian metalcore group; the issue hits home with the horrific bushfire season. For every 1,000 views on the visual, which was directed by In Hearts Wake vocalist Jake Taylor, the band will plant a tree along with the Earthwalker Tribe this spring.

Enter Shikari has released a plethora of eye-catching music videos in support of their 2020 studio album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible. As the first official visual for the album, "The Dreamer's Hotel" gets viewers sucked in with one of the weirdest hotel experiences ever topped by vocalist Rou Reynolds auditioning for So You Think You Can Dance?

2. Your Broken Hero - "A Letter To Ashley"

Popular emo YouTuber Matt Cutshall delivered one of the best emo songs in recent years with "A Letter To Ashley." The accompanying music video is a complete throwback to 2000s emo royalty with all of the cringeworthy dance moves to boot.

1. Cattle Decapitation - "Bring Back The Plague"

Cattle Decapitation's 2019 studio album Death Atlas hit differently when the coronavirus took over 2020. With many people ignoring pleas to stay inside, the death metal band made their voices heard with the music video for "Bring Back The Plague." The visual finds the band members rocking out in their separate locations with random shots of people throwing hands over toilet paper.
