The five best comics to grab on Free Comic Book Day 2022
Since 2002, Free Comic Book Day has helped turn many people into comic book lovers. While many popular comic book series have made a huge splash in TV and movies, nothing beats checking out a new story in a local comic book shop. Stranger Things/Resident Alien

Two popular sci-fi properties will collide with a special FCBD offering. In the Stranger Things portion, Eleven, Will and Jonathan revisit some bad memories thanks to a drive-in theater. The Resident Alien section finds Dr. Harry and nurse Asta tracking a ghostly disturbance in an elderly patient’s home. Resident Alien, which earned a Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards win for Best Cable Series (Comedy), recently finished its second season on SyFy. The fourth season of Stranger Things will debut on Netflix on May 27. A fifth and final season was recently announced.

The beloved Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series turns 25 this year, and BOOM! Studios is celebrating with a special retrospective featuring a slew of jokes and yearbook photos. BOOM! Studios will also give fans a look into the future of Buffy. After 20 years with Dark Horse Comics, the Buffy franchise landed with BOOM Studios, who rebooted the series in 2019.
