The best Los Angeles events for Valentine's Day 2024

Valentine's Day is this Wednesday, and some people are still figuring out how to spend the day with their significant other or by themselves. Fortunately, the city of Los Angeles is filled with a plethora of events for this special occasion. These are the best events going down for both singles and couples in Los Angeles this Valentine's Day.

Wavves @ 1720 (1720 E. 16th Street)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets)

San Diego alternative rock band Wavves will headline 1720 with support from Death Lens and Yungatita. The band have been busy working on some new material, which will be unveiled soon. Wavves' last studio album was 2021's Hideaway, which was inspired by the 2020 pandemic.

Tool, Elder @ Crypto.com Arena (1111 S. Figueroa Street)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Tool will bring their headlining tour to the Crypto.com Arena for a two-night stint with support from Elder. The band will begin working on the follow-up to their 2019 studio album Fear Inoculum, which became the band's third consecutive number-one album in the United States. Tool will also perform at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday (February 15).

Cannons @ The Mint (6010 West Pico Blvd)
Doors: 7 p.m.

ALT 98.7’s Booker and Stryker have been giving away tickets for a special performance from Los Angeles indie pop band Cannons at The Mint. While the radio contest is over, the radio hosts are hosting an Instagram contest for a shot at tickets.

Bratty, Paula Prieto @ The Roxy (9009 Sunset Boulevard)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Mexican bedroom pop artist Bratty will bring their headlining tour to The Roxy in support of their latest studio album TR3S. Last year, the artist turned heads at the Coachella festival. Paula Prieto will kick off the show.

Pilot Season @ Upright Citizens Brigade (5919 Franklin Avenue)

Pilot Season brings an audience's suggestion to a team of talented comedy TV writers, who'll instantly pitch a pilot for a team of improvisers to act out. This special show finds writers Diallo Riddle (South Side / Sherman’s Showcase), Phil Augusta Jackson (Grand Crew), and Syreeta Singleton (Rap Sh!t) teaming up with improvisers Bri Giger, Chris De La Cruz, Corin Wells, Jerah Milligan, Jacquis Neal, Saleh Karaman, Shakira Paye, and X Mayo for a hilarious time. All proceeds from the show will go to the Entertainment Community Fund, which provides emergency financial assistance and supports underrepresented writers and actors.

Blackstreet @ The Novo (800 W Olympic Blvd)

Chart-topping R&B group Blackstreet will take over The Novo for a special Valentine's Day concert. Formed in 1991 after the breakup of Guy, Blackstreet are best known for their number-one single "No Diggity" as well as hits such as "Before I Let You Go" and "Take Me There." Uncle Sam and SNCR will also perform alongside comedian Keith "Smacks" Dean.

Better Half Comedy @ Bar Bandini (2150 Sunset Boulevard)
Doors: 7:30 p.m. (free to the public) 21+

If you're looking for a free way to celebrate Valentine's Day, Better Half Comedy will hold their weekly stand-up event at Bar Bandini. Performing at the event are Andrew Dismukes, Chris Garcia, Jenny Zigrino, Eliza Skinner, Aly Dixon, and Luke Mones.

Punk Rock Dream Come True: An Anti Valentines Burlesque Show @ Supply & Demand (2500 East Anaheim Street)
Doors: 8:30 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Hosted by Daphne Moon, Punk Rock Dream Come True: An Anti Valentines Burlesque Show merges punk rock and burlesque for an exhilarating event in Long Beach. Aside from burlesque action from cast members such as Lily Misfit and Violet Riot, there will also be a singles dating game during the intermission.
