The best Los Angeles events for the week of March 4 - March 10

Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (March 4 through March 10).

Tuesday, March 5

Municipal Waste, Ghoul @ The Bellwether (333 S Boylston St)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Virginia's Municipal Waste will bring the thrash to The Bellwether in support of their 2022 studio album Electrified Brain. Ghoul, Necrot, and Dead Heat will also perform.

Wednesday, March 6

Lotto RPG, Hurt Hawks @ The Redwood Bar and Grill (316 W. 2nd St)
Doors: 9 p.m. $10 cover 21+

Electronic act Lotto RPG will continue their residency at The Redwood Bar and Grill with performances alongside High Tatras, Hurt Hawks, and ​Crisis Actor. Last September, Lotto RPG unveiled their self-titled eight-song EP.

Thursday, March 7

Kayo Dot, Thief @ Moroccan Lounge (901 E. 1st Street)
Doors: 9:30 p.m. (tickets)

Boston metal group Kayo Dot will come to the Moroccan Lounge to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album Choirs of the Eye. The original lineup for Maudlin of the Well will perform the 55-minute album in full. Thief will join them as support.

Reverend Horton Heat, Dale Watson @ Alex's Bar (2913 E Anaheim St)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Reverend Horton Heat, Dale Watson, and Jason D. Williams are currently joining forces for a West Coast trek, and the three musicians will make their way to Alex's Bar for a trio of shows; they'll also perform at the venue on March 9 and March 10. Prior to the trek, the three artists released the collaboration EP Stars Align on Fun-Guy Records. The three acts will also perform at Zebulon on Sunday, March 10.

Friday, March 8

Grouplove, Bully (solo set) @ The Wiltern (3790 Wilshire Blvd)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Grouplove recently kicked off their U.S. headlining tour, and they're ready to rock The Wiltern with fan favorites such as "Colours," "Ways To Go," and "Tongue Tied." The Los Angeles alternative rock band will be plugging their latest studio album I Want It All Right Now. Bully vocalist Alicia Bognanno, who'll be plugging their latest album Lucky for You, will kick off the night with a solo set.

Assemblage 23, Tassel @ Catch One (4067 W Pico Blvd)
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Das Bunker: History of Industrial will deliver live performances from Assemblage 23 and Tassel alongside three rooms filled with some of the best industrial and EBM jams around.

Saturday, March 9

Collect-A-Con @ Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 South Figueroa Street)
Doors: 10 a.m. (tickets)

Collect-A-Con will bring a slew of collectors to the Los Angeles Convention Center for two days of pop culture fun on March 9 and March 10. The event will feature a slew of special guests including William Shatner, Cristina Vee, Christopher Judge, and Charles Martinet as well as a Saturday afternoon performance from Lit and a performance of the Pokémon theme from Jason Paige. Ericdoa, bixby @ The Belasco (1050 South Hill Street)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Hyperpop artist Ericdoa will conclude their North American headlining tour with a stop at The Belasco. The artist will be plugging their new studio album DOA, which was unveiled back in January. bixby will be the opening act.

Nerdgasm @ The Silverlake Lounge (92906 Sunset Blvd)
Doors: 10 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Nerdy dance party Nerdgasm will unite all fandoms at The Silverlake Lounge. Hosted by Scarlett Bobo, the dance party will feature performances from Nyx Litré, Kitti The Doll, and Harley Reckless McMichaels. There will also be a contest for best costume. The event is free to the public, but you must reserve a ticket.

Sunday, March 10

RX Bandits @ 1720 (1720 E 16th St)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

RX Bandits will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their studio album The Resignation by playing the album in full. Following the album’s release, the band embarked on some heavy touring in the United States and Europe with acts such as Melee, Big D and the Kids Table, and Breaking Pangaea. Disheveled Cuss will be the opening act.
