Tuesday, March 12

Ultimate Jam Night (feat. Turning Jane)@ Whisky A Go Go (8901 Sunset Blvd)

Ultimate Jam Night returns to Whisky A Go Go with an evening dedicated to women in rock. Turning Jane, who recently performed at NAMM 2024, will kick things off. The evening, which is done in collaboration with Gritty In Pink, will be headlined by a supergroup of ladies including Shiragirl, VK Lynne, Leah Martin-Brown, and Bodacious Thang.

Wednesday, March 13

The Buzzcocks, Modern English @ Teragram Ballroom (1234 W. 7th Street)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Beloved English punk band The Buzzcocks will head to Teragram Ballroom before appearing at the Shamrock Rebellion festivals this weekend. The band will be promoting their 2022 studio album Sonics in the Soul, which is their first release since the 2018 passing of founding member Pete Shelley. Modern English will also perform.

Thursday, March 14

Agender @ Zebulon (2478 Fletcher Dr)
Doors: 8 p.m. (free RSVP) 21+

Los Angeles post-punk band Agender will have their first show of 2024 at Zebulon with support from Stuntdriver, DJ David Scott Stone, and Fast Guns. Last month, the group released their first single of 2024 with "Jeans."

Darkest Hour, I Am @ 1720 (1720 E 16th St)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Washington D.C. metalcore band Darkest Hour will be in the region to support their new studio album Perpetual | Terminal, which was unveiled last month via MNRK Heavy. This is the long-awaited follow up to the band's 2017 studio album Godless Prophets & the Migrant Flora. I Am, Mouth for War, Somnuri, and Thrown Into Exile will join the band as support.

Friday, March 15

Dancing Plague, Dildox @ The Paramount (2708 E Cesar E Chavez Ave)

Portland dark electronic artist Dancing Plague will celebrate their forthcoming studio album Elogium with a release party at The Paramount, which will also serve as the first stop of their U.S. tour. The eight-track album will be released on March 22 via Avant! Records. Joining as support for this show will be Los Angeles darkwave act Dildox, who unveiled their debut EP Post Traumatic last year.

Rozz Williams Tribute @ Hollywood Cemetary (5970 Santa Monica Blvd)

The Rozz Williams Tribute event will help raise funds for a documentary about the late goth rock singer. The event will feature a screening of Nico B's 1998 short film Pig, and it'll also include musical performances from Gitane Demone and Paul Roessler, Symbolism (which features Christian Death members Rikk Agnew and James McGearty), and Williams' ex-wife and former collaborator Eva O.

Saturday, March 16

Thee Improvised Musical @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr)

Thee Improvised Musical will deliver an exciting improvised musical comedy based on a title given by the audience. The event will feature Blake Rosier, Brendan McCay, Conor Hanney, Courtney Fourtner, Dahlya Glick, Ike Flitcraft, Lexi Lewis, Rob Zaleski, and Ryan Brookshire performing alongside a live band.

This Will Destroy You @ Lodge Room (104 N Ave 56 2nd floor)

Texan post-rock band This Will Destroy You will kick off their Tunnel Blanket 10th anniversary tour at Lodge Room. The band will offer a full performance of the album, which was produced by Grammy winner John Congleton (Baroness, The Dismemberment Plan). For this show, This Will Destroy You will be joined by tourmate Christopher Tignor and special guests George Lesage (Deafheaven) and Symbol.

Combichrist @ Whisky A Go Go (8901 Sunset Blvd)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Industrial metal band Combichrist will take over Whisky A Go Go in the early part of their U.S. tour in support of their new single "Planet Doom." Combichrist's last studio album was 2019's One Fire. Joining the band as support are Dead Animal Assembly Plant, Esoterik, and Cultus Black.

Sunday, March 17

Mayuan Poet @ El Rey Theatre (5515 Wilshire Blvd)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Chinese rock band Mayuan Poet will make their way to El Rey Theatre in the midst of a five-date trek across the United States. After appearing on the variety music show The BIG Band 3, the group saw their fame skyrocket in Asia.
