Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (April 29 through May 5).

Tuesday, April 30

Dildox @ Gold Diggers (5632 Santa Monica Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (free tickets) 21+

Los Angeles darkwave act Dildox will perform at Gold Diggers as part of Damaged Disco's monthly event series. The act unveiled their debut EP Post Traumatic last fall. The show will celebrate the release of Male Tears' remix of Dildox's "Sterilize."

She Past Away, Soft Vein @ Vermont Hollywood (1020 N Vermont Ave.)
Doors: 7:30 p.m. (tickets)

Post-punk band She Past Away will bring their North American tour to Vermont Hollywood. The band's last studio album was 2019's Disko Anksiyete. Joining them as support are Soft Vein and DJ FN1.

Thursday, May 2

Smallpools, Greyscale @ El Rey Theatre (5515 Wilshire Blvd.)

Los Angeles indie-pop band Smallpools and Philadelphia alternative rock band Greyscale will bring their co-headlining tour to El Rey Theatre. Smallpools will be supporting their new Ghost Town Road (east) EP. Greyscale's last studio album was 2021's Umbra. Caroline Romano and The Romance will join the show as support.

Mad Caddies @ Echoplex (1154 Glendale Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Ska punk band Mad Caddies will take their headlining tour to The Echoplex in support of their new studio album Arrows Room 117. Joining them as support are Bad Cop/Bad Cop, La Pobreska, and Shock Therapy.

Flung, Pride Month Barbie @ Permanent Records Roadhouse (1906 Cypress Ave.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets) 21+

Oakland experimental pop artist Flung will be in Los Angeles' Permanent Roadhouse to support their new studio album Heartbeat, which is out on Get Better Records. Maral and labelmates Pride Month Barbie will also perform.

Sunday, May 5

The Veronicas, Jesse Jo Stark @ Fonda Theatre (6126 Hollywood Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Australian pop act The Veronicas will conclude their North American tour with a stop at Fonda Theatre. The act, who are best known for their hit singles "Untouched,” "4ever,” and "Take Me on the Floor,” are touring in support of their new studio album Gothic Summer. Rising pop singer Jesse Jo Stark will be the opening act.

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster @ 1720 (1720 E 16th St.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster will bring their first U.S. tour in a decade to 1720 this Sunday. Joining the metal band for this show as support are Limbs, Ironside Collective, and Heathens.

Crooked Teeth @ The Silverlake Lounge (2906 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

SoCal pop punk band Crooked Teeth will conclude their mini-trek in the region at The Silverlake Lounge. The band recently toured the Midwest with 408 and Telltale in support of their new single “Eat My Apple.”
