Los Angeles always has a plethora of events going down at every corner. Whether it’s a convention or some local stand-up comedy, there’s always something to do if you’re looking to leave the house. We look at some of the best events going down in Los Angeles this week (April 15 through April 21).

Wednesday, April 17

Bayside, Finch @ The Wiltern (3780 Wilshire Blvd.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

NYC pop-punk band Bayside will bring their headlining tour to The Wiltern in support of their new studio album There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive. Finch, Armor For Sleep, and Winona Fighter will be joining them as support.

Thursday, April 18

Paint It Black @ The Echo (1822 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Philadelphia hardcore punk band Paint It Black will have their first L.A. show in a decade this Thursday at The Echo. The band will be in the area supporting their new studio album Famine, which is their first proper studio album in 15 years. Joining Paint It Black for this show as support are Artificial Joy, Seudo Youth, and Personal Damage.

The Joy @ The Sun Rose (8430 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (free tickets) 21+

South African vocal five-piece act The Joy will head to The Sun Rose for a special live performance. The act will be showcasing material from their forthcoming debut album, which will arrive on June 21 via Transgressive Records/PIAS. Over the weekend, they joined Doja Cat on stage at Coachella. Tickets for this show are free to the public.

Saturday, April 20

TemperMental, The Oddity @ Space City Vintage L.A. (339 1/2 E 1st St.)
Doors: 3 p.m. (free to the public)

Space City Vintage L.A. will have a special afternoon event showcasing live music and comedy. Some acts slated to perform include TemperMental, The Oddity, and Helen’s Bay. More information about the free show can be found here.

Primus, Puscifer, A Perfect Circle @ Hollywood Bowl (2301 Highland Ave.)
Doors: 6 p.m. (tickets)

Primus, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle will join forces to celebrate Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday with the SESSANTA event. All three bands will appear on stage simultaneously to play tunes from their catalogs.

GCW: How High @ Ukrainian Culture Center (4315 Melrose Ave.)
Doors: 8 p.m. (tickets)

GCW returns to the Ukrainian Culture Center for their How High event this Saturday, and tickets are running low. Some matches booked for the event include 2 Cold Scorpio vs Joey Janela, Mance Warner vs Dark Sheik, and Santana Jackson vs Human Tornado. As expected, the card is subject to change.

Sunday, April 21

Kenny G @ The Novo (800 W Olympic Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)

Kenny G in Los Angeles? Say no more, fam. The Grammy-winning smooth jazz saxophonist will be in town to support their new studio album Innocence, which was released back in December via Concord.
