Thursday, January 11
Are You Still Listening? @ Troubadour (9081 Santa Monica Blvd.)
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets) 21+ show
Hosted by Leslie Liao, Netflix's live stand-up comedy show Are You Still Listening? Hits up The Troubadour for a night of laughter with sets from Fatimah Taliah, Jay Washington, Jeff Horste, Liz Blanc, Mahesh Kotagi, and Marie Bruggere. While tickets for the event are free to the public, seating is first come, first serve.
Friday, January 12
Zzzahara, Cold Gawd @ El Cid (4212 Sunset Blvd.)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Los Angeles post-punk artist zzzahara will perform their new album Tender in full at El Cid. Last year, the artist supported the record with tours across the United States and Europe. Shoegaze rock band Cold Gawd will be the opening act.
Anime Massive: Kimetsu No Party @ 1720 (1720 E 16th Street)
Doors: 9 p.m. (tickets) 18+ show
Fake Star brings their Anime Massive: Kimetsu No Party to 1720 for a late-night dance event with sets from Hyper Potions and Kairos. While tickets are on sale, a limited number of folks can get in free via RSVP in the ticket link.
Femmes The Rules @ Lyric Hyperion Theatre (2106 Hyperion Avenue)
Doors: 9:10 p.m. (tickets)
Hosted by Bailey Norton and Sammy Mowrey, Femmes The Rules pairs male comedians along with female (or non-binary comedians) for a hilarious event. During the male comedian’s set, their partner can interrupt at any time with their own hot takes about what they just heard. When it's time for their partner's set, the men have to sit and watch. Leslie Liao, Fumi Abe, Robby Hoffman, Carmen Christopher, Megan Gailey and Chris Garcia will take part in this week's event.
Saturday, January 13
Black Flag @ Regent Theater (448 S Main Street)
Doors: 7 p.m. (tickets)
Iconic punk band Black Flag will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their sophomore album My War by playing the record in full. The record found the band diving into a sludgier sound, which became a strong influence on the sludge metal and grunge music scenes. Black Flag will also perform a set filled with fan favorites.
Sunday, January 14
Comedy Feud @ The Elysian (1944 Riverside Dr)
Doors: 6:30 p.m. (tickets)
Hosted by Jacquis Neal, Comedy Feud pits two teams of comedians against each other in a humorous version of Family Feud. Five members of the audience will be able to battle the winning team for the chance to be the night's true winners. Anna Garcia, Arden Myrin, Dani Fernandez, Lamar Woods, Demi Adejuyigbe, Hayley Marie Norman, Mike Castle, Alex Fernie, Vic Michaelis, and Zac Oyama will take part in the festivities. Ellory Smith will deliver a stand up set.
