Ten Count anime film adaptation officially cancelled
Fans excited to see the anime film adaptation of manga series Ten Count will be disappointed with a major update.
Announced yesterday, the film has been cancelled. A statement from the film’s official Twitter account reads:
"Due to production reasons, we have had to cancel production of the theatrical anime film 'Ten Count,' which was scheduled to release in 2023. We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been looking forward to the release for a long time, as well as to those involved in the production of the film.”
For fans of Ten Count, this is the second time they’ve dealt with an adaptation being put on the shelf. In 2019, an anime series was announced with an expected 2020 release. In late 2020, though, the series was postponed. Two years later, it was announced that Ten Count was going to be an anime film adaptation instead with East Fish Studio (Fragtime, Mirage QUEEN Prefers Circus) and SynergySP (Beyblade, A Couple of Cuckoos) co-producing the flick.
