New Zealand alternative rockers Sulfate unveiled their new single “There You Are!” yesterday.

For the track, which can be heard below, the band wanted to capture the sense of claustrophobia. Vocalist Peter Ruddell said this about the cut:

“The finished recording captured that feeling of being jostled about by strangers in a dark room, while simultaneously being blinded by the flashing lights of a stage. You’re a bit scared, but it’s a good kind of scared.”

“There You Are!” is the second single from Sulfate’s upcoming studio album Godzone, which will be released on September 10 via Flying Nun Records. Pre-orders for the album can be made here. The seven-track release will be the follow-up to Sulfate’s 2019 self-titled debut album.
