Singer-songwriter Stephanie Lambring has delivered their new single “Hospital Parking” today.

For this song, which can be heard below, the artist enlisted Wilco’s Pat Sansone on the piano. Lambring said this about the track:

“In May of 2022, I got the worst phone call of my life. My mom had fallen and hit her head and was urged to call her family. This song is a stream of consciousness from getting the call over a burger and beer, to my 4-hour drive to the hospital, to the days spent sitting with my mom in the ICU. Every night when I left, I paid $5 to the parking garage attendant. I had a dark humor moment and wondered, ‘Do you at least get your parking validated if your person dies?’ Hospitals are weird places. Full of hope, grief and love.”

“Hospital Parking” comes from Lambring’s forthcoming studio album Hypocrite, which is out on April 19 via Thirty Tigers. Pre-orders for the record can be made here.
