Spectrum x NRG: Night at the Castle in Los Angeles (photos)
Spectrum and NRG joined forces for a special Halloween party at the NRG Spectrum Castle on Friday.
The worlds of Minecraft and hip-hop were brought together for Storm The Castle. Unlike previous events held at the establishment, attendees had to go in through a tunnel. As attendees walked their way to the party, they ran into spooky Minecraft cosplayers as well as haunting creatures before reaching Steve from the popular video game. Throughout the night, attendees grabbed drinks from the bar, had some delicious burgers, and danced along to music.
The event was headlined by a musical performance from platinum-selling hip-hop artist KYLE, who is best known for their Top 10 single "iSpy." The local artist was celebrating the forthcoming release of their new album Lvl 1: At Least It Was Fun, which is slated to arrive soon. The artist played the album in full for the crowd as well as rapped along to it. The new album comes months after the release of KYLE’s latest release Smyle Again.
The event coincides with Spectrum's new multi-year deal with NRG, which gives Spectrum exclusive naming rights for the NRG Spectrum Castle in downtown Los Angeles for the next three years. Sharon Peters, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Spectrum said this about the deal:
“NRG and Spectrum are a perfect match. NRG is consistently pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming and esports. From the NRG Spectrum Castle to the Gaming Tour of America, we're excited to bring our fastest and most reliable Internet and WiFi technology and NRG's vision to life for gaming communities in Los Angeles and across the country.”
NRG Head of Sales and Brand Partnerships, Brandon Tortora also said:
"What we're creating isn't just a sponsorship; it's a revolution in how fans experience gaming and esports through Spectrum, the best Internet and WiFi choice for gamers. The NRG Spectrum Castle will be more than a headquarters – it will be a must-visit destination for gamers. And with our Gaming Tour of America, we're taking that magic on the road, interacting with fans and creating joyful moments in communities across the nation."
