Skeleten announces new album 'Mentalized,' releases “V**gra” single
Russell Fitzgibbon bka Skeleten will unveil their sophomore album next year.
Announced today, Mentalized will be released on February 7 via 2MR / Astral People Recordings. The 10-track album features the previously released singles “Deep Scene” and “Love Enemy.” A new single titled “V**gra” can be heard here.
Skeleten said this about the new single and forthcoming album:
“Shoutout v**gra for being a useful drug for humans but also it really makes you think how the deepest parts of what makes you human are literally transformed by the forces of capital, mentalized.
This whole record is the feeling of your brain being shaped by all the forces in the world. I’ve been thinking a lot about your body being physically altered by the content machine. Even the deepest things that make us human are up for grabs, we are literally transformed by what we see, mentalized for better or worse."
Pre-orders for Mentalized can be made here. This is the follow-up to Skeleten’s 2023 debut album Under Utopia. Skeleten will appear at the Golden Plains Festival in Australia next March.
