Qlowski announce debut album 'Quale Futuro?,' release new single "A Woman"
London post-punk group Qlowski have announced their debut album.
Revealed today, Quale Futuro? will arrive on June 4 via Maple Death Records and Feel It Records. The first single from the record titled “A Woman” comes equipped with a music video, which you can see below. The band said this about the visual:
“There’s a famous Irish republican quote that goes “It is not those who can inflict the most, but those who can suffer the most who will prevail”. In this sense A Woman is a song of victory, and the video tries to tell this story. Sometimes victory comes through apparent surrendering. In this video Cecilia surrenders to the Futuro Police, to all the forces that are trying to dictate her destiny and essence. But she does that on her own terms, singing her own song, finally proud and fierce in her own persona.”
Pre-orders for the 11-track album can be made here. Aside from the record, Qlowski will also release a 28-page zine titled What Future?, which features contributions from artists such as Liv Wynter, Jorge Antony Stride, and Carolina Martines.
Qlowski will have a record release show on the album’s release date inside London’s Moth Club. Tickets for this performance are on sale here.
