Power Trip announce headlining shows in Dallas and NYC
Grammy-nominated crossover thrash band Power Trip will have a pair of headlining shows this summer.
Announced today, the band will perform at The Factory in Deep Ellum in Dallas on July 6 and Knockdown Center in NYC on August 24. These shows follow their previously announced performance at Pomona’s No Values Festival in June. For these shows, Skourge/Fugitive singer Seth Gilmore will take over the role of vocalist.
These will be the first major shows for Power Trip since the passing of founding vocalist Riley Gale in 2020. Each headlining show will feature a handful of special opening acts. More information will be revealed soon.
Power Trip said this about continuing their work with Gilmore, who joined the band for a surprise set late last year:
“It feels right playing our songs with Seth, who’s been a long time figure in Texas hardcore, and we’ve had the pleasure of watching and playing alongside his bands since the origins of Power Trip. We’re grateful for his dedication to this project and can’t wait to see everyone.”
Gilmore also said:
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the legacy of Power Trip and deliver these songs to the fans of past and current generations. I would not be who I am today without the massive influence that both the band and its members have had on my life, and I look forward to celebrating their work alongside them while giving it my all to honor the spirit of Riley’s memory.”
Tickets for Power Trip’s headlining shows in Dallas and NYC go on sale to the general public this Friday (March 1) at 11 a.m. EST here.
