PlayStation book series 32 Bit Library Volume 4 launches Kickstarter this week

Author and diehard PlayStation fan Darren Hupke will continue their 32 Bit Library book series this year.

Revealed yesterday, the Kickstarter for 32 Bit Library Volume 4 will go live on May 10 here. This volume will focus on the game catalogs of Squaresoft, Atlus, Working Designs, and Enix. Kurt Kalata from Hardcore Gaming 101, John Linneman from Digital Foundry and DF Retro, Jason Dvorak from GameRaveTV, and Audi Sorlie from Limited Run Games are among those with special entries in the book. A small number of Kickstarter backers will also be allowed to share their stories in the forthcoming book.

Physical copies of 32 Bit Library Volume 4 are slated to arrive at the end of September. Digital copies of previous volumes will be available as digital add-ons with physical copies also being available. Those looking to pick up digital copies right away can do so here.

A description of 32 Bit Library reads:

32 Bit Library is a retro gaming book series for nostalgic gamers. Each volume is a curated retrospective of games from the original PlayStation library. Each game covered has a written entry discussing key details and information, not a generic review, and details on what made each title unique. Many screenshots from each game highlight moments and refresh readers on these classic titles. Bonus entries from industry professionals add extra content to each volume. Select games covered have additional retrospectives written from personal accounts of backers during the funding campaign for the limited special edition print runs. The goal is to have an archive of the PlayStation catalog organized chronologically and focused on a specific publisher or genre with each volume.
