Payday 3’s servers will be tested before its official launch later this month.

Announced yesterday, Deep Silver and Starbreeze will launch a technical open beta stress test running from September 8 through September 11. To participate in the stress test, simply download the build from Payday 3’s Steam page here. The build is based on a game version from April 2023.

During the test, players will gain access to all four playable characters (Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf) and all difficulty levels. Players can max out their infamy level to 22 and their weapon level progression to eight.

While the test is available for the weekend, the developers have one request to truly test things out:

Since this is a technical test so if you do participate in the BETA, we’d appreciate it if you’d help us put pressure on our servers by logging on and matchmaking all at once on Sunday,September 10th at 01:00 CEST as well as 18:00 CEST (check the times for your timezone here) until something breaks. This is the one time we ask you to help destroy our stuff, so please, take the opportunity!

Payday 3 will launch on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Game Pass), Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. Pre-orders can be made here.
