Norwegian indie-pop artist Sondre Lerche unveiled Lindstrøm’s remix of “Avatar of Love” today.

The remix stems from Avatars Of The Night, which is a collection of remixes, reworks, and demos from Lerche’s 2022 studio album Avatars Of Love. The release also features the new song “The Most Savage Joke.” The full tracklisting for the album can be seen below. The album will arrive digitally on March 31 with a double LP coming this spring.

Lerche said this about the forthcoming release and collaboration with Lindstrøm, which is available on digital services right now:

“I think it was this collaboration that made me realize this thing wasn't going to be an EP, but a full album's worth of music. I met Lindstrøm at a wine bar in Oslo, we talked, and as he walked away it was so obvious that he should do a remix of ‘Avatars Of Love.’ I emailed him later that night and he wrote ‘I'd love to’ in the morning. Something about that song and his sensibility just made perfect sense. He worked on it over the period of two months, and I've been listening to it every day since he sent it to me. I found it incredibly beautiful and poetic.”
