New Digimon Survive trailer released
A trailer showcasing Digimon Survive has been released today.
The trailer, which can be seen below, shows the new characters featured in the forthcoming visual novel/tactical RPG with information on their voice actors. The trailer was originally shown during DigimonCon, which celebrates the beloved franchise. The entire online event can be seen below.
Announced back in 2018, Digimon Survive was originally slated to launch in 2019 before being moved to 2020. With the global pandemic in effect, the game was moved to 2021. Last spring, the title was moved again to this year.
A synopsis for the game reads:
Takuma Momozuka, Minoru Hyuuga, Aoi Shibuya, Saki Kimishima, Ryo Tominaga, Shuuji Kayama, Kaito Shinonome, Miu Shinonome, and others are on a historical studies extracurricular activities camp during spring break. On the second day Takuma, Minoru and Aoi visit a famous local temple to investigate the legend of the "Beast Gods" (Kemonogam) where a festival to celebrate them will take place. As they explore, they come across Koromon, then hear screaming. Koromon and the group run to the source and find their class mates being attacked by other Digimon. Koromon digivolves to Agumon and scares the Digimon away. It is at this point, that Takuma and the others discover they are in another world.
Digimon Survive will be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders for the game can be made here.
