Nashville singer-songwriter Lydia Luce releases new song “Matter of Time”

Nashville singer-songwriter Lydia Luce has dropped their new single “Matter of Time.”
The tune was written while Luce stayed at Orcas Island near Washington. With their stay taking place following the horrendous heatwaves in the Pacific Northwest, Luce was concerned about their surroundings.
Luce said this about the song, which comes with a music video co-directed by Jason Lee Denton & Aliegh Shields featuring animation from Ryan Usher:
“I was on this incredibly beautiful island immersed in nature thinking about the effect of climate change in that area. In that moment, I was grateful to be able to be there and experience the beauty. I tried to stay present and really absorb it all because every year we are seeing changes to our world.
We filmed the video in the state park about 5 minutes from the house I grew up in South Florida. The park is filled with massive banyan trees and palms. This song is about taking in the beauty of our natural world because there is an impermanence to it. If you find yourself in South Florida go visit Birch State Park and explore!
I got to make this with three of the most nature loving creative people I know and I’m grateful for this experience.”
“Matter of Time,” which is on digital services right now, stems from Luce’s forthcoming EP Garden Songs. The five-song EP, which arrives on June 24, can be pre-ordered/pre-saved here.
