Long Beach horror/Halloween convention Midsummer Scream has announced dates for next year’s event today.

The three-day convention will return to the Long Beach Convention Center from July 26 through July 28. Exhibitor registration is slated to take place later this year. The folks behind the convention made this statement about the obvious clash with SDCC:

We are aware these are the same dates as San Diego Comic-Con. While not our preference to be on the same weekend as SDCC, please know we locked these dates for MSS in 2021 and once SDCC announced, we spent weeks seeking alternative dates and venues (thus the delay in announcing). However, any other available options would negatively impact guest experience or severely scale back the offerings of the event. Despite the events coinciding, we will still be bringing the amazing event you, our Halloween community, have come to know, love and support.
