Los Angeles punk band Go Betty Go to hold benefit show for bandmate Betty Cisneros
Los Angeles punk band Go Betty Go will help raise money for their guitarist Betty Cisneros’ during their tough time.
Announced yesterday, the benefit show will go down on Sunday, July 3 at The Paramount starting at 3 p.m. Joining Go Betty Go at the concert are The Dollyrots, Johnny Madcap & The Distractions, and a special acoustic set by Linh from Bad Cop Bad Cop. More guests will be announced soon.
The band said this about the benefit show:
“Go Betty Go has never meant more than it does now.
Betty received the awful news no one ever wants to get and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She’s dusting herself off and prepared to fight like hell in the coming months. She will be going through chemotherapy, surgery and focusing on her health and working towards a full recovery.
To stand with and support our rock & roll sister her bandmates and friends are coming together for the first time in years to play this very special benefit show, hosted by The Paramount Los Angeles. All proceeds go straight to supporting Betty's medical and personal finances during this challenging time.
Those of you who know Betty Cisneros, know she’s tough, resilient and is determined to become cancer free! However, she won't be able do this alone and she'll need the positive support from all her friends, family and music community. So let's all come together and show her some love!”
Tickets for the benefit show are on sale to the general public right now. 100% of proceeds will go towards Cisneros’ recovery.
