Rising alt-pop artist Juliana Madrid has delivered their cover of Frou Frou's "Let Go" today.

Madrid said this about the new cover, which can be heard below:

"Imogen Heap has been an inspiration to me for a while now, but I heard Let Go years ago in the movie Garden State and fell in love with it. There’s so much going on in the song which creates such a sick effect, but with my version I wanted to strip it back to the basic chords and cool ambient sounds. I didn’t want to go full acoustic guitar vibe, so you will be hearing some synth and a bit of omni chord and occasional bleep bloops. I wanted this to remain as epic as possible while still making it my own."

“Let Go” stems from Frou Frou’s 2002 debut album Details. The song gained popularity after being featured in the Garden State film soundtrack, which earned a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Last year, Imogen Heap released a slew of previously unreleased demos for the Off Cuts EP.

The cover comes months after the release of Madrid’s new EP Afterlife, which is out on Neon Gold Records. “Let Go” is available on digital services right now. New music will come from the artist next year.
