Popular anime series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is coming back for another season.

Revealed on Saturday at the 10th anniversary event for the franchise, production for season five is currently underway. A special announcement trailer can be seen below.

The show, which is based on the Fujino Ōmori light novel of the same name, debut back in 2015. Season four was split into two sections with the first part premiering in summer 2022 and the second part debuting this past January. Animation studio J.C.Staff, who is best known for One-Punch Man, Slayers, and Food Wars, worked on all four previous seasons, three OVAs, and its 2019 film Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion.

A synopsis for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? reads:

In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the monstrous underground labyrinth known as Dungeon. But while riches and renown are incentive enough for most, Bell Cranel, would-be hero extraordinaire, has bigger plans. He wants to pick up girls. Is it wrong to face the perils of Dungeon alone, in a single-member guild blessed by a failed goddess? Maybe. Is it wrong to dream of playing hero to hapless maidens in Dungeon? Maybe not. After one misguided adventure, Bell quickly discovers that anything can happen in the labyrinth--even chance encounters with beautiful women. The only problem? He's the one who winds up the damsel in distress!
